Installation & Maintenance
We manufacture our door systems at our factories in Auckland and Christchurch. We also have stock holding capacity in our Tauranga branch. Click here for a list of distributors by region.
If required, we can organise delivery nationwide. Our commitment to high quality means we want your product to arrive at your delivery address in the same condition as when it left our factory. For this reason, we are very particular about who we allow to transport our product and this means using Furniture Transporters to send our goods to you.
Your order may take a bit longer to arrive than with standard freight carriers, but should arrive in excellent condition.
If you require urgent or overnight delivery and are happy to take the risk, you will need to organise your own freight.
Contact us to request a credit application form.
Frames to suit standard sized doors are kept ex stock and are available for next day delivery and in some cases, same day collection.
Custom units take approx. 7 - 14 business days to manufacture from point of order confirmation and supply of any customer supplied components. If your unit contains glass, non-standard doors or powder coated components, these can all affect the lead time. Contact us for up to date information on current lead times.

We hold stock cavity pockets that suit "standard" door sizes - 1980mm high x 610, 660, 710, 760, 810, 860 or 910mm wide. All of our other systems are manufactured to suit the size you request.
Our units are unique in the way we construct them and depending on the brand you compare, there are different levels of quality and standards of finish. All of our units are top quality - they need to be because they finish up inside your wall! All of our cavity sliders are made in New Zealand, BRANZ appraised and covered by a written 10 year warranty.
Our cavity frames are manufactured from high quality extruded aluminium and high grade renewable timber resources.
We recommend 35-38mm thick doors for most of our systems. Multiple OvertakingDoors units are best used with 38mm thick doors. If your door is 40mm plus in thickness just ask for our Ultimate cavity slider system which can accommodate doors up to 88mm thick!
Generally speaking we can supply a cavity slider system to suit any door size. For massive doors that are over 4m high and 5m wide, please consult us - we have solutions available!
A pair of single (M6) carriages will take 120kg. If your door happens to be heavier we have heavy-duty carriages available to suit doors up to 240kg (M8) or if your door is heavier still, step up to our M10 (500kg) carriage series.
RakingHead (self closing) units max door weight: 50kg.
SofStop (soft close) max door weight: 100kg.
SofStop Twin (soft close/soft open) max door weight: 50kg
Standard units will suit 90 or 94mm framework.
Overtakingx2 units require 140mm framework.
Overtakingx3 units require 190mm framework.
Add 50mm extra per door for Overtaking x 4 or 5 doors
Ultimate units require 140mm framework.
SlimSlider units suit 70mm stud.
CS produces a range of spare and replacement parts for our products. The availability of these parts ensures that in the unlikely event one of our products is damaged or broken (and it is not covered under the guarantee) you can source quality, authentic replacement parts quickly and easily.

There are no regulatory issues to consider when installing a cavity slider in your bathroom, en suite, laundry or other wet area, but there are some practical common sense things to consider:
H3 treated jambs nogs and skirting blocks (all options available from CS).
Consider where any plumbing needs to run, as it cannot run in the pocket - consider a false wall beside the pocket for this.
If tiling, then we recommend lining the pocket with 9mm masonry board first before tiling to give the wall rigidity. Tiling your pocket or running a false wall beside your cavity pocket will require a non-standard width jamb on one side which we can easily provide for you.

We are a manufacturer only. Our products can be installed by any competent builder. Depending on the job, we may be able to recommend a subcontractor or put you in touch with a builder to do the job.
